Embrace the Chaos: The Art of Productively Sabotaging Productivity in Startups

Change everything at any moment. The more compulsive you are, the better you’ll fulfill the mission of sabotaging productivity. Even if certain tasks are incomplete, throw new ones into the mix. Your team will end up chaotically building everything at once, without delivering even the simplest result to the client. After all, you have funding for two years—why rush to ship features?

Team burnout? That’s your chance to shine! You can say, “Alright, do less.” But soon enough, your internal anxiety will push you to overload your team again. And if people start feeling fed up with the work? Just remind them, “That’s how it is in a startup.”

When delivering a digital product, ensure the workload is assigned by people who don’t actually understand it. This way, you’ll maintain that beloved chaos.

Intense Times

Managing a team, programming, and handling the business aspects of a company isn’t easy. In the early years of a startup, the focus is primarily on finding people who are willing to pay for the product you’re building. It’s been a year and eight months since we began working on the company, yet I’m still surprised to find myself at this point in my life.

The purpose of this blog is to share my experiences in building a company—my mistakes, and hopefully, some good ideas too.
